The best dressed at the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards

Although the traditional award season for movies may have wrapped up in March, we still have plenty of red-carpet excitement to come this spring with the Cannes Film Festival just around the corner, and last night, we were treated to an event which celebrated the best of the small screen.

Sunday evening saw the biggest British stars out in force as BAFTA paid tribute to the best of television over the past year with the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards – and the result was a very well-dressed red carpet. The event saw the likes of Jodie Comer, Sheila Atim, Nicola Coughlan and Olivia Colman step out in their finest.

From fun, colorful ballgowns to lessons in toned-down, elegant dressing, there was much glamor to admire.

Always a fabulous addition to any red carpet, Jodie Comer turned heads at the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards wearing a chic, black, tuxedo-inspired gown by Boss. The design featured a low-cut neckline and a subtle slit to show a hint of leg. She teamed it with a diamond necklace by Messika and platform Jimmy Choos.

Aimee Lou Wood in Christopher Kane

sex education star Aimee Lou Wood was picture perfect for her turn on the red carpet, wearing a white, ruffled dress by Christopher Kane with lace and sheer detail. She paired it with a ponytail, gold sandals and Tiffany & Co jewelery.

Sheila Atim was a great example of elegant simplicity, wearing a low-cut, floor-length Dior gown with cape detailing, which she wore with statement jewelery by Tasaki and Jessica McCormack.

Nicola Coughlan in Valentino

Nicola Coughlan is fast becoming one of our favorite young actresses to watch on the red carpet, and her BAFTA look just may have been her best yet. the Bridgerton star wore a lilac Valentino ballgown for the occasion, which featured giant bows and ruffles.

Olivia Colman in Alexander McQueen

Wearing a tuxedo by Alexander McQueen and diamonds by Cartier, Olivia Colman gave a lesson in red-carpet elegance at the 2022 BAFTAs, proving that, sometimes, less is more.

Eleanor Tomlinson in Galvan

Also keeping things classic was Eleanor Tomlinson, who looked striking in the simplest of white silk gowns by Galvan, which featured delicate spaghetti straps and subtle cut-out detail.

Jessica Plummer in Emporio Armani

It was all about sparkles and sequins for Jessica Plummer, who wore a loose-fitting Armani gown to the 2022 BAFTAs, which featured a chic floral detail. She teamed it with pointed red pumps.

Lydia West embraced volume on Sunday evening, choosing an off-the-shoulder black gown by Valentino, which she paired with a Jimmy Choo bag and Jessica McCormack jewelery.

Celine Buckens in Giorgio Armani

Having plenty of fun on the red carpet, Celine Buckens was perfection in pink, wearing a floaty gown by Giorgio Armani to the award ceremony, which she teamed with statement Roger Vivier heels.

Dina Asher-Smith in Victoria Beckham

Another starlet to prove the power of the LBD, Dina Asher-Smith looked beautiful in a floor-length black gown by Victoria Beckham with cut-out detail and a halter neck.
